Bio

Brent Young- Special Teams Coordinator/ LB’s Coach

This is Coach Young’s 12th year coaching LBs and teaching social studies at RHS.
This is his 5th season as Special Teams Coordinator.

Coach Young is in his 23rd year coaching and teaching. He has previous stops in
Tyler, TX (Legacy HS); Columbus, GA (Shaw HS); and Hobbs, NM (Hobbs HS).

Coach Young graduated from Waxahachie High School, Navarro College, Texas State
University and received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from The University of the Southwest.

Coach Young’s wife, Amanda, teaches first grade at Celia Hays Elementary.

Coach Young’s son, Landry, is a 7th grader at Williams Middle School, he loves sports, video games, and Chiloso!

The Young family grew by one in 2024 as they welcomed Bexley Kate to the world in March. She’s already the Jackets biggest fan! JFND!!
