Jason Johnson

Bio

Coach Johnson is starting his 9th year total at Rockwall. In addition to filling the role of Assistant Head Coach, he will be coaching the safeties for the Black Swarm Jacket Defense.

Coach Johnson spent the bulk of his college days at Southern Arkansas University where he played football for two years and at Texas State. He earned his degree from The University of Texas at Tyler.

He and his wife, Renee, have a blended family with five children. Cara is a Rockwall graduate. Jax is also a Yellowjacket alumnus and after playing for the Jackets and in college is now also coaching for Rockwall. Aubree and Kaden are recent Rockwall graduates and Kaden was part of the 2024 Yellowjacket team. The youngest, Claire, is a junior at RHS and runs track and barrel races in rodeos.

In addition to coaching, playing, and rooting for the Yellowjackets, the Johnsons love family time and other endeavors. Renee has a photography business, Johnson & Co. Photography, which keeps the “Co.” in Johnson & Co. busy.
