Ryan Soderquist

Bio

Coach Ryan Soderquist is entering his 21st year of coaching and his first year as a Rockwall Yellowjacket as the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Outside Linebackers Coach. Soderquist served as the Outside Varsity Linebackers Coach in 2025 for Rockwall-Heath, after a short time as the Defensive Coordinator at Humble High School. Before 2025, Soderquist spent nine years in Lufkin, Texas. There, he had two years as Special Teams Coordinator and four years as the Defensive Coordinator. During his last season in Lufkin, the Panthers were undefeated District Champions, giving up an average of only 13 points per game. Recognized in the May 2024 edition of the Texas High School Coach’s Association magazine for his created club, “Character Over Talent,” Soderquist believes in the power of relationship building and is excited for the opportunity to connect with the Jacket athletes and families.

Ryan has been married to his high school sweetheart, April, for 25 years. They have one daughter, Addyson, who will graduate from Texas A&M this December.
